First of Many

We have shifted our prayer focus for our weekly prayer meeting from Revival to “Healing and Revival”. Why? For one, Mario Marillo Ministries held a tent revival from March 23rd to March 26th in our area. Mario’s tent meetings are focused on preaching the full Gospel which includes physical healing. He includes physical healing because he wants to show the power of God to unbelievers so that they will repent from their sins, receive Jesus as Lord and Savior, and give God the glory.

Scripture states the end result of healings caused the people to give God the Glory: “So the crowd marveled as they saw the mute speaking, the crippled restored, and the lame walking, and the blind seeing; and they glorified the God of Israel.” (Matthew 15:31)

In preparation for the tent revival, we prayed that God’s power would be on full display. We also want to continue the work of healing in our area once Mario Murillo has left our area. I told one friend that we prayed for that the Lord told me that her healing for her ankle was the “First of Many”.

As further proof of God’s healing power, the next healing came on Monday 3/24/2025 at 8:08pm. My mother-in-law got healed from the painful neuropathy in her feet that has been plaguing her for years. Mario Murillo told her “You were first” in the healings for this evening.

Ironically, I remember another healing that happened first in the healing ministry of Jesus: the healing of Peter’s mother-in-law in Mark 1:30-31, “Now Simon’s mother-in-law was lying sick with a fever; and immediately they spoke to Jesus about her. And He came to her and raised her up, taking her by the hand, and the fever left her, and she waited on them.”
