our journey over recent years
In 2019 we were introduced to the idea of spiritual goal planning for the year in addition to New Year’s goal planning. That particular year we were in a season of uncertainties and change and many things felt outside of our control so we decided to scrap the traditional year-end goal planning and we opted instead
to focus on spiritual goal planning alone. We had no idea that a pandemic was right around the corner and literally everything would be outside of our control, except seeking the Lord and what he had for us. He is faithful and never changing. Seeking Him alone did not disappoint.
Faith
Our first word for the year was “faith.” We already had a strong faith in God but we really just wanted to level up our faith and boy did we need it during the Pandemic.

Anointing
This year we both got this word separately which was confirmation that the Lord was bringing us together and since then we have seen the Lord speaking to us both in similar ways which has been awesome confirmation.

Shine
This year we picked the word “shine” and we have seen so many confirmations that this is a theme resonating with many. It is time to shine! We need to be a bright light in this world to overcome the darkness.

Awe & Wonder
This year we chose “awe & wonder” as our words for the year and we ordered a plaque and put it over our fireplace to remind us. It has been a journey of awe & wonder ever since.

Glory
This year we chose “glory” as our word for the year because we sensed it was going to be a year of seeing God’s glory like never before, and we did!
YEAR
2025
Reap
This year we chose, “reap.” We are being mindful of what we sow into, we will reap. Our focus verse is, “Let us not grow weary in doing good, for in due season we shall reap if we do not lose heart.” Galations 6:9
Multiply
Our focus this year is on multiplication, particularly in the area of making disciples who make disciples. We claim the promise of Hebrews 6:14 “I will SURELY bless you and I will SURELY multiply you.” That is also our prayer. Let it be so.
