Three for the King

“What are you doing?” the three teenagers asked me.

“Just telling people about Jesus. Do you love Jesus?”, I asked.

“Yes, we do. Can we help?”, they replied.

“Ok. Let me share with you the basics”, I continued.

I was so excited about their enthusiasm. That very morning I had prayed that God would send out some people to share the Gospel with us. It was a cold morning and several people had already declined. I thought I might be the only one out there. So I prayed and asked God for help.

And he said to them, “The harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few. Therefore pray earnestly to the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into his harvest.” (Luke 10:2)

I then went on to share the basic Gospel card with them and gave them some. I also gave them some “Little Jesus” figures that we hand out to kids and teenagers.

Then I told them to just go around and ask people if they could pray for them. It’s as simple as this, just ask “Can we pray for you?” and then you ask for their prayer request and pray for them. Then after your prayer, say, “Have your heard of Jesus?” or “Have you heard the Good News?”

They were so excited. They were so willing to jump right in. Keep in mind I’ve been doing this for several years now and it’s very rare even for adults to ask to join to share the Gospel.

“Let no one look down on your youthfulness, but rather in speech, conduct, love, faith and purity, show yourself an example of those who believe.” (1 Timothy 4:12)

Well, they took off and within 30 seconds they were already praying for some people.

I have a feeling that this generation-Alpha (people born between 2010 and 2025) is going to be our source for revival workers. We need more young people like these three to come out and join us.

We have even younger co-laborers for Christ that come join us and share the Gospel on a regular basis. We have a 2-year old girl, a 4-year old girl, and a 7-year old boy that come out with their parents.

God is good! Thank you Lord for providing the workers from among the youth to help lead the next great revival in our country!

“I will give them a heart to know that I am the Lord, and they shall be my people and I will be their God, for they shall return to me with their whole heart.” (Jeremiah 24:7)
